Breech block screws
Breech block screws
Im wanting to put a single shot breech block on my 410 but as i was about start the job i noticed the small bolts on the 410 breech block aren't regular allen key ones compared to other air arms rifles ive had. Any help what these bolt type heads are called or where i can get the tools would be appreciated. Ta
Re: Breech block screws
Hi,
Mine have all been Allen headed ones even the ones under the anti tamper plugs (different size IIRC). Some sort of photo may help your cause.

Does. It look like 2 of them have the heads missing,if so they are anti tamper bolts, and they bolt up from other side ie cylinder side. Rog
Re: Breech block screws
Yeah i wondered what the deal was with the headless ones. Is it basically a case of the newer guns are harder to work on?
Re: Breech block screws
None of them are hard to work on , once all the anti tamper is out, they are pretty much all the same. Rog
Re: Breech block screws
How do i get the anti tamper bolts out to remove the breech block ? Thanks
Re: Breech block screws
Stick your location in, there might be a club member who will show you. Rog
Re: Breech block screws
Is it just a a case of taking the stock off & undoing them from underneath? Also what kind of head are they please bud? Thanks
Re: Breech block screws
They are normal Allan bolts, take the stock off and you will see metal plugs blocking off your access to them, these have to be drilled out, I think the drill size is 3mm, they are not that thick and you only want to drill into them enough to get an Allan key through to undo them, undoing them should push the plugs out take your time. Rog
