I wasn't suggesting you're a gear tart at all just most of them are. As for the inferiority complex I have non of that, just a guy who's spend the best part of 20 years perfecting my shooting and not falling into the latest manufactures fad.gary martin wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2019 8:49 pmwow what's all this about ? i just responded to a post. Why should i think about your setup at my next comp? great, i am impressed. Gear tarts! i shoot a springer with a secondhand scope, if thats a gear tart so what! that's my thing. Maybe you have some kind of inferiority complex that you need to boast of your consistent long range kills with minimal equipment. Empty vessels and noise.RichieRich612 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2019 9:30 pmI bet your scope costs more than my whole shooting setup haha.
And for what?
Most ft shooters are gear tarts, fashion over purpose.
I'm using an old Hawke Varmint sf on 10x mag for 80 yard kills consistently, think about that next time your at an ft comp seeing 3000 pound scopes.
Even a top of the range scope/rifle won't make anyone a better shooter.
Better glass might able someone to see the pubic hairs on a wasp but it's practice that will hit the wasp that's all.
In the end of the day it's a consistent blast of Air which drives a pellet down a barrel.
Where that barrel points is all behind the person pointing it.
