The breech block on the 410 hasnt got enough height to allow a for a shroud. The 510 series have a larger gap to allow for one.

Hi,

Some people have 'tarted' the look of their S4*0's by sleeving it in carbon fibre tube though. 12mm inside diameter. You will need to fit a new barrel band capable of taking the 14mm O/D of the tube. Rowan do them. Depends whether it's for form or function.

Mark

Edit. Has anyone here done this and if so did it stiffen the barrel up?

Mark, I did this too my 400 a year ago ,since sold it. it didn't stiffen it up ,but it certainly made it look a lot better than the spindly barrel did, I did talk with matt the silencer maker about a shroud ,but never got round too sorting it,so settled for the carbon fibre tube.

Anyone found a carbon tube to fit AA 14mm barrel?. I have seen them on the ebay but "14mm ID" could be just too tight and 30 quid down the pan.

Try a company called Easy Composites in Stoke.

Its good if the ID is 0.01mm bigger than the 14mm barrel and a total waste if its 0.01mm smaller. Nobody provides tolerances so I wondered if anyone actually fitted one and from where.

What about this

You could go in with someone else to reduce cost ;)
