Just wondering, folks ... Is there an appetite to resurrect old times and get together in a field again?
I have been through some real shit times (hence the silence) and could do with a good laugh with some old friends.
Please. :)
Hey Raj,

Sorry to hear about your "shit times" mate!
I've had a session of that myself.

Sounds like a great idea. Do you remember your headache after we finished a bottle of Whiskey together a few meets ago?

It would be lovely to see you and the others again.

However, I've relocated again and moved further north into Teesdale near Barnard Castle! We have a few alterations to do, and have been waiting for builders since last September.

We have just been notified that the scaffold will be erected on the 11 of August, and the work will start on the 15th. Chimney breast being removed, and a large picture window going in it's place, bedroom windows being enlarged to take in the view over the valley.

On the other side of the house, we are having a log burner fitted and they will have to resurrect the fireplace and chimney that has been sealed off.

Storm "Arwen" nudged me in the direction of a log burner, after being without electricity for five days! Oil fired heating.....boiler needs electricity, electric hob and oven also. PITA

I've now fitted a gas hob. (Calor) with gas bottle outside. There is no Gas supply in the village!

As much as i would like to come, i may be struggling. will have to see how the builders progress.

All the best mate,
Graham.

I would be interested in a meet?.

That's a lovely part of the world Graham. I know it well. I was at Grassholme reservoir near mickleton yesterday, fishing.
It's only 30mins away from me.

Kevin

Small world Kevin.
I'm only 10 mins away from Grassholme. :D

I took a couple of pics from the top of Neamour Lane on my walk this morning. You can see Grassholme from there!

Definitely some stunning scenery up there. There's some big trout in the reservoir if you like your fishing.
And plenty of rabbits to be shot if you can get permission.

my sympathies Raj , I too have had THE worst 12-18 months and could really do with a get together but with my condition worsening it might not be a good idea for me to come    .

maybe next year ???

ps. did your daughter make the Olympic Team , i seem to remember her being quite the TaeKwonDo expert and working her way through the titles for her weight class . I vaguely remember us have great expectations for her ?

pps. apologies if I've got anything above wrong :D .
