Nah not my head.
According to my doctor, the liver consultant and innumerable tests I have a high iron problem in my blood. So a diet was recommended as I was a tad overweight according to the BMI. On which incidentally they keep moving the goal posts! It is really my spare tyre rather than anywhere else. I was called Belsen Boy when I was in infants school - the photos of that place still being fairly fresh in the public mind In 1959 when I started school.
Anyway I have tried hard and have exercised more. Basically though it the reduction of portions and the exclusion of those foodstuffs high in iron, red meat, offal etc as well as reducing sugar intake and that of the liver killer fructose, crisps, biscuits. More veg and fruit and white fish and chicken. Mind you the higher fibre diet has had other effects as Pat will attest as I stood up in the hide today on the fringe of the woods and said "I'm off for a shit in the woods!" and off I ran
Research into high iron exclusion diets revealed a link between high uric acid levels (gout) and high iron. One can spark the other and vice versa. This was not mentioned by the GP (probably understandable as the are only General practitioners) nor by the expert. I have suffered from gout for years.
So I do feel thinner, healthier and am moving on now to my next problem of lack of pencil lead
