Money saving home made grub

Sun Feb 12, 2017 5:43 pm

As the thieving sods at most of the supermarkets have put up their prices tenfold in some cases over the past few years, we've decided to eat more homemade food. I'm a Coeliac so making my own pies etc is a significant saving on getting robbed when you buy gluten free goods in the shops. Over the past few weeks we've enjoyed homemade chicken, leak and ham pies, corned beef pasties, cheesecake and fresh homemade bread. We've just polished off a big bowl of homemade gluten free apple crumble - just right for a cold Sunday afternoon.

Hi Paul, can you tolerate spelt wheat products?
There is a local producer and and miller of spelt products only a couple of miles from you, let me know if you want some more details.

Sadly I have to steer clear of spelt wheat products as well Tim. Hope you're well mate, we must catch up over a brew at some point.
