more money saving tips

Fri Jan 20, 2017 4:36 pm

After we actually looked at the SOURCE of the frozen breast chicken pieces at our local superm't (Brazil, Thailand, Poland & non specific- EU sourced chicken) we decided (ok, the boss did, I just kept schtum & nodded) that we'd do our bit & paid near double the cost of a full frozen chicken for a fresh British free range chicken, knackered for spending the last hr & I'm just over half way through, on my tab right now which is point blank refusing to play ball, so no pics, but I've a full bowl of chicken so far, the skin jelly grisle etc got split betwwen the dogs (mega carefull bout the bones of course) with some dry food to bulk it up, they go nuts for it too, so, canine brownie points for yours truly & I reckon we'll have way more than a 4quid bag of frozen pieces was gonna give us. FR chicken was £5.60 BTW. & next time I'm gonna boil not roast it, so much easier to dress!

Do it in a slow cooker and it would be ready when you get home
