It was the cold winds that hit us from every angle down at Quigley Hollow

Yes ... I saw the sun and went out on my road bike in 17 mph North winds. Even my balls had shriveled when I got back

Re: our first frost
Had our first heavy frost here last week, lovely. Love this time of year, crisp chilly mornings, leaves changing colour and falling, a mug of hot chocolate as the heating warms the house in the evening.

I road my bike to work, looks much colder tomorrow, therefore I will do the same thing. something enjoyable to be found in these situations.

-3 for me, but cycling to work does have some advantages, no scraping the windscreen and the heater is full blast in two hundred yards
Re: our first frost
I was on my bike too ... One fly in the ointment ... it is downhill all the way to work so I dont even warm up
