some years ago we had a pony grazing on our fields ,
when one afternoon a knock at the door and rspca
inspector said that the pony needed shoes .
as I tried to tell him it.
A .it was not my pony and I would speak to the owner .
B. it was on grass not road work so no need for shoes on it.
that was not good enough for him he said it needed a vet ,
farrier , it was over weight .
said if nothing was done asap he would take action .
so I spoke to its owner she said she no longer wanted it .
so quick call and hunt man came out and it was the hounds dinner ..
and nice letter thanking rspca for their donation to the hunt .
needless to say the never published the letter nor did any more about the matter .
