It makes me sad , but also worried to think that there are people out there who do this sort of thing ,
as they are probably also reproducing , driving on the roads and voting.

Another slow news day in BBC East.

Actually if that hedgehog was shot "at point blank range" with an air rifle they are a lot tougher than I thought.

I would put anything past the RSPC to Photoshop pictures for the media :oops:
I'm not saying it doesn't happen but the RSPCA have always had their own agenda

The pellet in the xray is surprisingly intact considering it has been through all them outer spines and then broken the back bone.

Maybe it was a 40 yard shot at a rabbit. Hedgehog hears the shot, dives at the rabbit, "N-O-O-O-O!" Selflessly pushes bunny out the way, takes the hit.

They are a charity after all, but they have to pay their inspectors hence the income has to increase accordingly, along with sympathy and disgust.

I had them trying to block a major rail route to save an injured fox not so long ago. But when delays cost £300 per minute it was "Foxtrot Oscar" I'm afraid.
