I did indeed contract it.
Very debilitating.
I got the cure but not before getting two false negatives during testing. They didn't bother testing for it again, but instead gave me the cure anyway, then tested my CSF for viral antibodies (as apparently the disease often appears with one or more of up to 74 associated viruses)

The Lyme disease is actually caused by a spirochaete more akin to syphilis than anything else!

Symptoms were bloody horrible, with my own bodies defensive system attacking my central nervous system. I ended up walking extremely poorly and suffering from blinding headaches and joint/muscle pains

That's the symptoms precisely, I really, really find being like this absolutely intolerable, not a good patient me I'm afraid :evil:
