Game of Thrones

Any followers? I haven't seen any of it but picked up the first two volumes of the series in BHF for £3 each - plenty of reading in them. I have just started the first one and am debating lashing out on the TV series. Opinions good and bad welcome.

Always been into Fantasy and SF etc from the Michael Moorcock days, Ghormenghast, The Worm Ourobouros (E R Eddison - pre Tolkien) Raymond Feist etc etc

im not a watcher/fan but my youngest boy loves it. From what I've "subconsciously" gleaned while he's had it on, there is a shit load of rumpey pumpey in it and shit loads of violence too  :?

Its a medieval fantasy soap opera. I've read about 3 ½ of the books but I stopped when I saw the familiarity with any of the soaps on TV i.e. if owt bad could happen it does. The TV shows worth a watch though as some of the characters are amusing and busty.
