Hi , my S410 is great with JSB Exact diabolo so I don't use anything else . A few months ago I opened a sealed tin to use on some targets . When I started putting them in the mag I noticed that there were quite a few pellets in there that looked lighter than 8.44gr and definitely nothing like the same shape as the JSB exacts . I decided on using another tin that were fine and put the bad tin down as some sort of mistake during the packing process . A few weeks later someone put a thread on BBS complaining about the same thing . its still a mystery but since then there has been no repeat and I can't think of a pellet brand that would do better in my rifle . the photo is the picture of the size difference in the bad tin of JSB's . atb Ricky.

My S400f is the most pellet fussy gun I've ever known. It loves H&N field targets and Air Arms express. Can get ok results with Air Arms fields 4.52. Nothing else. Strangely it wouldn't group anywhere near as well with JSB Exacts as the Air Arms and they very similar pellets as we know.
Now the boys MkII S200 is a totally different beast, it will shoot practically anything well. I honestly don't think we've used a pellet yet that it doesn't like. :D

TX200HC .22 - Crosman magnums 14.3 grain - bit fiddly to load, need washing before use as too much debris in tin - but consistent accuracy.

Ultra SE Multi-shot .177 - AA Diablo Fields 8.4 grain 4.52 mm - soft pellet need to watch out for distorted skirts

HW100KT .177 - Accupell 7.9? grain (still running first tin through)

At club they are using JSB's Exact .177 - when HW100 bedded in will try out 50 of each diameter and see how I get on.
Why be awkward, when with a bit of effort you can be really impossible!

My S510 loves JSB Exact Express 4.52, so that is what it gets. The plus point for me on a purely monetary basis, is that my HW95 is also showing a preference for Express 4.52 as well. My TX200HC is about to undergo a serious pellet test, but has shown some promising groups with AADF in 5.52, despite the ability of the nut behind the trigger.

My Daystates seem to prefer H&N FTT's(.177) Air Arms pellets seem to have dropped a bit in quality recently with too many pellets in the tin with distorted skirts.

After trying quite a few different brands and sizes, this is what I have settled on:

Air Arms HFT 500..... Air Arms Field 4.51

Air Arms Ultimate Sporter..... JSB Heavies

My Pro Sport .177 is spot on with AA field's in 4.51 but also likes JSB express, not much between them indoors out to 30yrds. The AA seem a little better outdoors if there is a breeze and at longer ranges. Also did try some RWS super mag heavy flats, they flew quite well and hit hard at a sensible range and would be ideal for close range hunting when the AA fields sometimes pass clean through.
