edit:- & Back in Black doesn`t get any better than played through my Keff 7`s!

Wastrel, you need to hitch a lift down with Grandad then you can sample AC/DC through ATC 50 actives for a comparison, if needs be along with "a whole lotta rose" or blanc / rouge as your fancy takes.
Can also let you try a decent springer or three when you are here...

not at all Sake, I`ve no doubt there`s loads of modern speakers out there that would blow mine out of the room, years old mine are, but then, Back in Black was bout 1980 if memory serves, don`t get me started on the age of WLOR. mind you, I`m pushing 50 myself! Sigh!

Life begins after 50 so fret not, nothing about blasting they were purchased with classical chamber music and jazz in mind, mind you most folks that invest in hi-fi have no idea / experience of what real live music sounds like but, best we don't go down that road I fancy.

New speakers are no better than old ones, especially if they are Kef, Celestion or B&W. Basic good design has never changed. I have a pair of B&W DM 5s that were made in 1976 and they still match the latest offerings.

My sentiments entirely, I think mine were designed some 25 years ago.

With regard to the pulsar its a case of each to his own but personally I think it's fug ugly and a waste of £2000 . We have been warned from the AGW review and from threads by Mr Doe that the rifle shouldn't be judged by anybody who hasn't handled and shot it . I don't need to handle or shoot it to know I would carry on disliking it and the way it groups IMO couldn't rival my S410 in .177 and I don't know if any rifle that could . in much the same way my brother is still shooting a titan bearcat he bought new in the early 1980's I think I will be still going to my present rifle many years down the line. it cost me £275 two years ago , has between 500 and 1000 pellets through it weekly and has never missed a beat . The scope height on the pulsar is my main dislike in practical terms but its followed close behind by its horrendous looks . Time will tell how successful the pulsar's sales are here but I wouldn't buy one if they were a fraction of their current RRP . As for daystate rifles being the mainstay of professional pest controllers I'd argue that a high percentage of full time pest controllers wouldn't have the time or inclination to film their work for you tube videos and use a vast variety of rifle brands . The hardy Rapid range being a favourite workhorse for quite a few . Away from ratting I would also argue that the 17 hmr and mach 2 calibre of rifles are a more popular choice for a pest controller where lost time dealing with a rabbit problem equals lost money . atb Ricky

Got to worst of all bullpup culprits infact it's offensive to call it a bullpup

I've no issues with the bullpup as a concept. For a design to work you need to
establish how its going to be used and how it would be operated in all its potential uses.
This doesn't demonstrate a very well thought out design and certainly nothing new in
its operating layout. Sure it might be accurate, but what does it offer over anything else
that's already out there ?

Put these features in a bullpup design and I will pay attention to it.
Reload bolt lever above the pistol grip to aid better economy of movement,
ambidextrous by a plate and slide mechanism going between the cylinder and barrel,
so the bolt lever could be switched L to R.
The mag placed lower and load from the top of the cylinder mag to allow this.
A complete roll over cheek piece, adjustable pistol grip positions and sizing,
a sturdy rail platform for optics, underside/side fore grip rails, steel threaded
inserts at key points for sling mounts, synthetic stock and to be able to operate
whilst wearing gloves.
