cheers Ebo, how about someone at AA simply drills the bump stop hole to the correct depth, & then supply the correct length `tail` in the new
bump stops?

What about the "Butyl Rubber Wallah's" on the Plantation.

Shortening the bung could easily result in overtime cuts. What then :?:

it is a dilemma.....but I don't own a tx200 or never will so I don't care that the bungs are too long

Thanks all,

Tried the washing-up liquid trick, but it just made the little blighter almost impossible to hang on to! I wondered whether freezing it may make it easier to screw in, but it's so small, and with little thermal capacity, it probably won't stay frozen for long enough.

The hole is drilled through the shroud which is fairly thin. The new bumper has a thin tip that's usually longer than needed and it's left from the molding process. That's the piece you trim off. You can use a razor blade to slightly thin down the rest of the bumper post. It takes strong fingers and a twisting motion to get the job done. Yes, it's a royal pain.

I have a TX200 MK 3. I've replaced the rubber bumper twice, as it's located right where I clasp the underlever. It does screw in ....but I pulled them out because the bumpers are made of soft rubber( I think that my nails snag them). Someone on this forum (the old one) suggested making the bumper out of an old fan belt. It works great. As the fan belt material is harder and fibre reinforced it dosen't tear out easily. I went to my local garage and got a broken fan belt gratis.

I put an O-ring on simply.
That's it. Who cares?

I have put bungs in my tx over the 3 years i have owned it. Now i do not bother as i keep damaging them with my nails. To be honest i do not
think it matters if you have them or not. As for fitting them simply cut a small piece off first, and screw in with your thumb,
