Is the installation of the regulator simple? Any other changes made besides drilling the breath hole and installing the reg.
im planning on doing the same with my s510 as well

To run at a lower pressure, the transfer port from valve block, bolt housing and barrel will probably need enlarging.
Drill the air tube and wet n dry sand the area where the reg sits so the seals dont leak.
Its not essential, but recomended to lighten the striker (hammer), to reduce the chance of hammer bounce with revised spring settings.

I went with the upgraded kit that contains replacement springs, and outlet valve spring holder, drillbits for port and tube, as well as a screw for the transfer port adjustment.

Thanks for the reply. And what about the power adjuster? Does it still works?

Yes the power adjustment screw still works to restrict /open the transfer port for fine adjustment. The upgrade kit contains a cap head allen screw which can be cut down to suit. Although you could still use the original screw.

I have spent a while tweeking the firing pot spring tension adjustment so I can have the transfer port fully open, where my screw is trimmed down to the point its tightned fully but the port is unrestricted. That way, power cant be easily increased if the rifle gets checked :)

Hopefully away to get my dive bottle refilled today, so I'll be able to see what changes lightening the hammer has made. It sounds quieter which is probably due to the hammer not bouncing anymore, but ive not done a full graph since.

Thanks singlespeed. Thats what i was hoping to try out. Opening the transfer port fully and adjust the power through the spring tension of the firing pot. do post your full string. And any other changes if its not too much a problem.

Had my bottle refilled this morning, so straight into a full string through the Combro :)

.22 S410 with Lane regulator set to 80Bar and 3.5mm transfer port. Unsorted RWS Super H point pellets straight from the tin.
Pressure readings were just from the bottle gauge, so a bit subjective as to which exact shot equalled which pressure.

Theres a couple of wayward shots, but I'm reasonably happy so far with 92 shots from a fill. Being as my rifle gives an awfull spread with the H point pellets, I didnt mind loosing a few extra magazines after the noticeable drop in power, just to see what happened.

In answer to your question, fit it yourself
I too fitted a lane reg, never even seen a pcp apart before

Ive tinkered with it and have now got an amazing 1fps average over ten shoots, and Ive seen that a good few times to, worst being 2.8fps

Go for it

This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me my rifle is useless. Without my rifle, I am useless.
