I'll vote again since this thread has come back up. I just had a little practice with TX200 #00322 that was made in 1992. Winds were 5-15 mph and I put 13 of 15 shots inside the 1.5" circle out at 55 yards, FT style. This gun has seen 25 years of steady FT use all over the world. The original owner placed 5th in the piston division, when the Worlds were held in Ireland. The gun is still an accurate thing even though it has well over 100,000 shots on it.

I don't have a TX Springer as I'm not a lover of underlevers but everyone on here seems to find them good so I will go with that, but the best PCP can only be the S400. Rog

I did not start this thread to `bum up` my gun, I started it to read members genuine opinions (which you gave- thanks) none of you, changed my opinion of my choice- the S200!
it`s the best bang for buck AA airgun IMO, & the one I`d recommend to anyone wanting to get into airguns via Air Arms.
now, let me point you all why, the starter AA `Springers` are just too dammed expensive IMO, the $4-- & S5?? too are out of my reach, & I`d suggest any beginners too! above that we`re into serious shooter territory & I don`t have an opinion on any of them cos they`re all waaaay out of my budget (for a hobby-not a serious sport or whatever) the 200 is where it`s at for any beginner, & the fact it can punch way above it`s price tag, well, nuff said really! (& the price of that TDR which SHOULD BE a beginners gun IMO-YMBJ)

The S200 target is intended for teenagers and entry level shooters as is the S400 MPR Sporter. At £450 and £700 respectively you could argue that is way too much. But if you want European/British goods you have to accept we cant make them for Chinese prices. Trump's America will soon find out the price of buying only US made goods will be high, but it is better to have an industry than not. My only worry is the occasional report on here of problems on new guns (like my gauge) and if I was AA I would have a staffer read the forum and jump in with an offer of support where needed. Is anybody at AA a forum member?
My S400 MPR is great but I have done some improvements that maybe should have been there already, even as simple as all allen screws rather than a mixture of allen, posi and slotted. And that original trigger guard is just not suitable for a 10m rifle!

Had an s200 in .22, s400 .177, pro target .177 EV2 .177 and now an FTP 900 all were (are good) but the S200 being the first one seemed the most accurate - wish it had been a .177 though.

I kinda wish mine too was a .177, cos I think "if this is how accurate a .22 is,- WTH would a 177 do? " astonishingly accurate rifle
