Galahad

Sat Jan 28, 2017 12:07 pm

Not a happy bunny, just picked up a new Galahad and there is a chip in the plastic side plate under the cocking arm and 2 dings in the metal just showing under the scope rail. Stevie wonder must do the pre sales checks on the guns :(

Surely they would have checked it over and sent it back if faulty :?

If you bought it from the gunshop your contract is with them not the manufacturer, you have to return it to the shop for a replacement or a refund. It is the shops responsibility to take the manufacturer to task for the substandard quality not yours.
Good luck I hope you get a successful outcome, please let us know how you get on.

I hope all is well for you and you get things sorted quickly.
The Airgun trade and quality is getting worse and the prices are getting more expensive this should not be tolerated manufacturers should be penalized for pushing carp out of the factory door as the customer always suffers.

Doesnt matter what the manufacturer discusses with the retailer, you have a right to totally reject within 30 days and a right to reasonable repair or replacement by the retailer with certain limitations to protect him against unreasonable demands. The rights to absence of minor defects depends on the price ie you would reasonably expect "perfection" on a £1000 gun over a £200 gun. See new 2015 act. If you examined the gun before the contract was made you may have less rights over visual defects. This is not legal advice, I am not qualified.
