Pellets through the post

Just received 500 JSB's from the postie.
There in a different head size than I normally use and where for a 40 yard accuracy test.
Anyway theres a wacking big dent in the tin and after sorting I had to lash about 200 and I havnt got much confidence in the remaining pellets.
I wont name the supplier as they might have been damaged in the postal system. But I wasn't impressed with the packaging either.
Have sent photos and awaiting reply. Never happened to me before and I was wondering if this is a frequent occurrence?

dropping a tin, say, from desk height to hard floor can make a massive dent and will damage some pellets. Last time it happened to me I had to lever the lid off with a screwdriver. However all pellets I have bought mail order were at least ten tins and wrapped up so well in bubble and cardboard it takes quite a time to inwrap them. If yours was only in an envelope then damage is going to be inevitable in the post. And expensive looking at the web prices.

Could have been worse... they could have arrived one at a time.

Normally buy my bulk pellets from JSR, and they come packed to survive a nuclear holocaust, but perhaps not Parcel Force or the Royal Mail.

I use to buy pelletes online. I had a couple of bad tins. But the thing is Postnord in Sweden is taking heavy flak for throwing packages like baseballs. Called the Airgun shop (Hurricane luftvapen, great shop) and asked them to make some extra good packaging, and after that no problem. It is not fun to start throwing pellets away.

Or Intershoot, never had a problem with theirs.
