Hi up . i swapped a Steyr for a MK 1 EV2 . nice rifle in a lannyman stock , with a mk 2 big nikko on top . i shoot bull pups so i sold the stock and the scope and bought one of guntuning pup stocks . not the greatest stock i have seen with a crude trigger mech . it was just impossible to get the trigger working properly . there was no feeling to the stages . pull , pull , pull , bang . i tried everything i could think of . noway hosay . so a mate of mine now has it and it working up a electronic trigger for it . when it is done i will get some pics up and what ever details i can get off him ( i know nothing of electronics ) . he say's i will be able to charge my phone up from it as i go around a course . i might not bother with that .??? HOLLY

PS the MK one EV2 has a CZ barrel now the barrels have a good rep . but not on this rifle . why ? i think i know the answer . the barrels were an after though . they fit into a brass sleeve in the breech . a lot of shooters floated the barrel . the brass wore slightly and moved the zero . on mine i drilled two more bolt holes in the side of the breech holding it in both planes . it has not moved zero since .

Yes he has ordered the parts from china ? naturally some of em were wrong . dohhh . the main problem with guntuning stocks is they are small , very small . if you did not know what was in it , you would think the box was empty . very little meat on the stock . he has had to cut the forend so as to place the battery's in that gap . don't ask me what it will look like , god know's . i just said to him do it . no come backs , do it . when all is said and done , if it shoots , the laughing will stop ??? Well should have picked it up sunday at bisley . but problems waterproofing the connectors halted that . tried the trigger though . it still has the origional trigger on it . which is a blade not a post . gotta change that . it has no stages . just feels like it is gently binding up . after four or five shots i could predict it going off . there is no shot disturbance at all as the trigger slips . yes i quite like it ??? I think the no stage trigger would put me off. Coming up to the first stage when your finger is cold is a must.
Interesting if some sort of resistance could be had using a spring
Keep us updated and lets see them pictures on here

OK it is now finished . working up has started . held up some what by the very cold weather . the gun does not mind it , but by god i do . the idea with the trigger i think will be to find and cut a piece of rubber to fit behind the trigger . so as when you finger draws back the trigger and touches the rubber , that will simulate the first stage . then as you further pull the trigger against the rubber , off it will go . it has got a spring behind the trigger but is not precise enough . make the spring heavier and it becomes a pain over a long shooting session . the gun is very accurate to 50 yards . after that wind drift is i think more than it should be . need to put it over the chrono . this whole thing was done on a very tight budget . the action i had and the butt hook , plus lifter . £ 300 for the stock kit and basically just the money for the parts to my mate . if you think about it , air arms could make a kit for all those rifles through from the RN 10 . EV2 MK1 . MK 11 . MK 111 . MK1111 . i don't know if the stock fittings are the same for the FTP but loose the barrel shroud , that awful muzzle brake . put a carbon shroud on it and a copy of rowans break and put it in a Minelli quality stock . now tell me that would not sell . say £ 500 for a quality kit and they would fly off the shelf at the mo . ??? HOLLY

PS i cannot post pics . but if some one can send me there e mail who can post em . i will send a couple through to em
