Strange one, obviously no one should be shooting an illegal airgun but this seems a bit odd. Sure the coppers have serious work to be doing instead!

If a licencing officer can visit a pub and an animal welfare officer visit an abattoir I see no problem if the FLO chooses to visit your club. We are content at our club that our procedures, safety and weapons checks are in order and have no problem with it.

This Is nonesence, police arnt allowed to check guns to many variables it has to be a independent tester a fire arms lab or a rfd it would never stand in court otherwise look at case laws on the matter

Maybe they will do a quick check and if any are over then they take them away for forensics and prosecution. You dont lose your licence on the roadside breathalyser but you will if the later blood test is bad.
Maybe anyone with anti-tamper still in place get a lollipop

They can check mine anytime they like.

I keep saying it! Every one seriously into air rifles, either buying, selling, owning should get themselves a Combro for Their own peace of mind, I never realised how much I would miss mine until someone shot one of the sensors out of it, I don't let anyone else use it now. Get yourself one for Christmas. you know it makes sense. Have a safe Christmas. Rog
