FTP900 PORKY

Sat Mar 07, 2015 11:00 am

I have a FTP900 and I find it on the porky side and feel it needs to lose a bit of weight .
Thinking of getting carbon fiber barrel sleeves made and a alloy stripper made ,
taken the hamster off.
Any one else tried to shed the weight off one of these guns.

Iv got one waiting for me to pick up. In truth it was the weight of the rifle that sold it to me, that and the ease of loading.

I'd be very cautious of those carbon fibbers - they'll tell you all sorts of lies!

I've take the barrel shrouds off temporarily to make a scope fit and they weighed very little, how much weight do you expect to save by replacing them with carbon fibre?

don't know but a alloy air stripper is going to help as well .
may even route out the front of the stock.
