MPR

Hi Guys, I am the proud owner of a used S400 MPR sport. I keep reading that you can add a barrel extender and barrel weights. Does anyone know where they can be purchased.
Many thanks.

If you mean MPR SportER with the poplar stock yes you can buy the barrel extension to turn it into a Precision for about £50. Check out the spares section of this forum and ask Julian. Part no JT459. (You currently have part JT459S)
Shown as item 40 on the standard diagram http://www.bisley-uk.com/stockimages/do ... Action.pdf

It has no weight to speak of. Hollow alloy. You will have to source barrel weights elsewhere. If your sporter has the internal accessory rail inside the stock then see my youtube video to add fore end weight. .

I found an Anschutz barrel weight 400-56D (73g) on ebay for a fiver with 20.1mm ID which should fit the 20mm Precision barrel extension. If it does I'll post a pic.

It fitted with a bit of opening up by reversing the clamp screw. Advertised as new and 20.1mm dia but used so probably closed up to under 20mm
Only Anschutz could produce a barrel WEIGHT made from ALLOY - How bizarre is that?
I might make a cut out for the sight block but then it would be even lighter!
(The strimmer line is the latest standard of safety flag demanded by the ISSF to show it is not loaded, and used my many clubs lower down the pecking order when moving weapons around the clubroom.)

Decided to cut out a slot for the sight block. Awful monkey metal and difficult to file with anything but a rasp. Wouldn't de-anodise in Caustic either. Looks better than before and it's still about 60 grams.
