s410/400 swap over

Fri May 27, 2016 2:38 pm

hi all, just after some advice/info. I have a new s400k & an s410 classic & wondered if i could fit the classic barrel/cylinder onto my newer carbine at all makin it then a 400 classic or is there more to it than that? Both guns are .177, just wasn't sure if there are parts in each action that are unique to each gun.

Thanks

Hi,

I would guess that it depends on the layout of the anti-tamper measures in place (i.e the age of each rifle). Assuming they were of the same type and a/t has been removed then I would guess it would be a case of swapping the two barrel/breech block assemblies over. This would mean only one seal (the transfer port one) would be disturbed and very little stripping would be required (possibly only six bots and a grub screw).

It looks to me as if the S400 and S410 share the same cylinder/valve block/trigger unit (dependant on age). Julian Bond on this forum would be the best person to contact regarding this query ... look for AirArms spares on the main page. Also here :- http://airarmsspares.com/
