S200 string

Wed Oct 21, 2015 4:08 pm

I thought after I calibrated the combro I'd do a shot string. I'm not sure myself what I'm looking for but I'll post the results underneath and hopefully someone can tell me if it's good or not .

Hi,

Just done he graph for the above data and it looks like :-

There is a bit of a spike at the end of the string. I'm guessing that this is where it comes off the regulator and your rifle is more efficient at these 'lower-than-reg' pressures. What is the reg pressure set to out of interest.? Is it around 120-125 bar? To me it looks like the reg pressure needs to drop by 5 - 10 bar to get rid of the peak at the end. This may raise the power levels of the shot string so you may have to tweak the whole lot down a bit by whatever means you do this on an S200. Robert Lane's videos on youtube show this phenomenon (especially Pt. 7-7 power spike after cut out).

Numbers look pretty damn good Dan. How many shots were you getting before you regged it?

Mark knows his stuff when it comes to numbers/strings so take his advice, it all looks pretty consistent until it tails off the reg at the end.

Ps.....little tip for you, post your numbers in rows of ten, much easier to follow ;) :D

80+ consistent shots with an acceptable shot-to-shot variance out of a puny cylinder like the S200 !!! You should be proud of it :)
Hmmm ... wonder who tuned this one :?: :?:

:D

I honestly cant remember but I think it was 100 bar. My Altaros Reg. that works on exactly the same principle ... i.e. removing the O-ring between the end cap and the air cylinder to allow a breather hole - displays the same spike towards the end of the string.
