FAC and Shotgun Cert landed on the mat today with my new address :D , FAC is still closed though, thought they would open it after two years :( . Never mind, I'm a happy bunny, the visit must have been to do with my address change last year.

Is your FAC for Air only? Contact your licensing authority and ask for them to open your certificate. You can only ask. Its not unusual for new certificates to be closed. Northumbria for example (who are an excellent licensing authority i might add) automatically close a new certificate. Having an open certificate is so much more convenient when tackling vermin problems. You can use this statement when putting your case across. Contact your shooting organisation ( i assume you area member of BASC or CA) if after speaking with your licensing authority first brings you no joy.

Yep FAC is Air only, permissions too near houses and roads for live ammo. Looks like I will have to wait another three years for an open FAC.
It has took 16 months for an address change, so I think I will wait until renewal. Not an issue really, no new permissions on the horizon.
