I wouldn't rely on a phone app for something as important as power. Treat yourself to a Combro chrono or similar and make absolutely sure.

as above.....over the legal limit brings a whole lot of trouble.....when you have sorted the rifle out set it too 11 foot pounds its ample for pest control and you also have a little leeway too help keep you legal.

not trying to take the micky but you have no understanding of what your measuring in the first place, confusing fps and ft/lbs, give your gun to someone who has a decent chrono and an understanding of how s200`s work, when that's fixed then you can work on what pellets and scopes to use, if you paid any sort of gunshop for previous repairs TAKE IT BACK pronto, I don`t know of any .22 pellet that will be legal at muzzle velocities your posting, the absolute minimum I would do with it would be to remove the airtube and barrel and leave it in bits until sorted, it may cost you a few bob to get it fixed but it will be far less than a brief will charge you if your picked up with it

Hi guys has i said i am new to pcp and when i used crono pro android app 3 shot count was 691 391 464 and i thought the legal limit was 1200 ftlbs so i thought mine was well under half the legal limit. So any explanation from yourselfs would be most greatfull has i just want to make sure i am legal and my rifle is running has good has it can be. Plus when i said i had just received it back from the shop, is that they fixed my multishot issue nothing more they fixed a cycling issue i had, so now it works great. So if anyone has misunderstood what i first mentioned i do apologize for any misunderstanding. thx

Right, let's start from the beginning and clear a few things up for you!
The legal limit for an air rifle without an FAC certificate is 12 ftlbs. The figures you got using the chrono app are in feet per second which then has to be converted to ft lbs by the following formula. Speed X speed X pellet weight in grains/ 450240. That will give you a ft lbs figure. Ideally you want to be around 11ftlbs up to a maximum of 11.5 ftlbs. You need to test with a variety of pellets because they will produce different power levels. Any pellet that takes your rifle to 12 ft lb or over means you potentially have an illegal air rifle so it will need adjusting to bring it safely within the limit. As I said in a previous post, the chrono app isn't good, in fact, having tried it against a combro I would say it's absolute shoite.
You either need to get a combro or other reputable chrono and test your rifle properly or take it back to the RFD and ask them to test it. Until you have proper figures and pellet weights you are just pi55ing in the wind.

Thx for the reply timmytree So if i fired a 15.9 grain pellet air arms field .22 it would have to be 567.42 fps for the rifle to be firing at 11.37 ft lbs If i have worked it out correctly. But i also think i have been calculating it wrong with my app i have not been putting in pellet weight and distance not using the app correctly, so i will get results that are wrong so i will do a proper string when i get some more pellets on monday or tuesday to see if the results will match up to how you told me. :o

Nothing like the string you've posted!
In the middle of the sweet spot all 10 shots should fall within 10fps easily.
You can't do any more until you have access to a proper chrono.
