Accessories for a Pro Sport

Sun Sep 04, 2016 3:56 pm

I've just taken ownership of my first ever Air Arms (unless you count the TX200 I had about 15 years ago for a day on test), a walnut-stocked Pro Sport and I'm a happy bunny. I am currently in the process of accessorising it to my taste and body shape and would like to add an adjustable butt pad. I know there's the Bisley one http://www.jsramsbottom.com/products/miscellaneous/bisrecoil-bisley-adjustable-alloy-backed-recoil-butt-shoulder-pad.html and this WEGU-style one http://www.airgunspares.com/store/product/10977/BSA-Adjustable-Butt-Pad-Part-No.-16-7484/for a BSA R10 which it says can be' can be fitted to other stocks and linished to fit', but I'd also seen the Rowan Engineering one for the TX200 http://rowanengineering.com/products6.htm#tx200buttpad which ooks very well engineered and I though would be fittable after linishing/sanding down.
Has anyone a recommended type they've used/fitted?
I'd also like to fit a sling but would preferably like to use quick-release swivels if possible, any recommendations please?
Pics of rifle to follow once slightly pimped :)

For the price you can't go wrong with the Bisley one mate. Simple but effective.

Oops, sorry about that! Mods, please can you move this to the spring guns section?

No, keep it where it is. The flit gun devotees need to read about proper airguns instead of monstrosities called "Pulsar" and "Galahad."

Too true TT..., the ones you quote are reminiscent of children's water pistols, one has no time for them, no sir!

Would just like to big up mattw975, received my supressor from him today, very well packed and superbly made. As I said when I PMd him, it makes a difference to the sound produced by the rifle but I'll be interested to carry out some with it/without it tests using a video camera next to a target to see just how much quieter it is. Makes me realise just how much of the noise of a springer is the powerplant, and the fact that is going 'THOK' right next to your lug'ole are you fire makes it wound worse than it is. As others have said, initial impressions are that it's improved the balance of the rifle a tad, not that it was unbalanced to start with mind (I take that crown in my house :D ). Just need to get down to the local range and get it and me dialled in properly 8-) .
