well I finally grabbed a few hours out yesterday evening and a stunning evening it was warm sun and light winds and bunnies galore bunny wise this is the most I`ve seen at this time of the year for many years little fur balls running about everywhere.
the resident foxes have been taken care of (for now) bar the dreaded "m" word it looks like a bumper summer
I bagged 8 with ease
one was full up with young
one was in milk
and the other six were in good health
I could have doubled that easily but I don't shoot the little ones they`re time will come

Nice to hear you're getting a good bit of sport. This week kind of gives you the incentive to have a mooch about, nothing better than an afternoon out with the gun on a still afternoon with the sun on your back

Re: spring evening shooting
nice one, ive been out recently around my farm an my neighbours farm and we never had many rabbits but since march the have gone from about 4 a field to 10 little fluffy buggers running everywhere. the rabbit population at mine is so low because of the fox population
