Woodys

Woodys

Had a request for a brace of woodpigeon for the plate.

Went to a likely location tonight and shot 2 woodys in 10 minutes but didn't pick the first.

Was very smug about the shots which were both around 40 yards but there was a bit of a breeze which I guestamated
about an inch of wind. Got it right and both were pole axed with central head shots.

Picked the second one and went to get the first and there was a buzzard filling its boots.

What a great sight. I think nature is the best entertainment you can get. Had a sparrowhawk hit a a headshot woody a couple of months ago. Amazing.

You couldn't buy some of the sights you see wheny your out shooting.
