S510 ultimate

Opinions on hunting with a 177 S510 ultimate sporter please
I already have an S410 carbine in 22
Thinking about the S510 for hunting and target shooting
Cheers

I use an S410 TDR in .177 and there's no difference to .20 or .22 in knock down power, after all, it's still the same ft/lb at the arrival hall (skull).
Make sure you get a head shot on a rabbit or chest on pigeons, but that applies to all calibres.
The early bird may get the worm, but it's the second one mouse that gets the cheese.

Theoben Rapid Mk2 .20, Light Stream 4.5X14X44 FFP.
AA S410 TDR .177, Yukon Photon XT with 135 mm lens conversion.

It will perform just dandy. As long as you feel comfortable and it naturally points.

Use mine for benchrest and hunting, adjustable stock always a good thing, fittings for slings / bipods etc no extra holes to drill, once anti tamper is out easy to service, can be a bit heavy for some, have to say it dsnt perform any better than my S400 in an MPR stock, but still ok, your money mate. I have very recently made the leap to .177 after years of exclusive .22 shooting. I have had no problem obtaining results. Hunting/vermin control is pretty much the main use for my rifles. I found the flatter trajectory quiet easy to get a grip with. If you can place the pellet where its needed then there's no problem with stopping power.

Mounted a Hawke side winder on it
