Thought it was a bit fishy (Grimsby/ fishy get it, no ! Taxi) tuns out if you believe the papers it was a european rat
and was also photo'd to make it look bigger than what it was . It was reconed to be about a foot long , so only a baby .

THE giant rat that was allegedly found on Grimsby Docks wasn't actually in Grimsby at all, it has emerged.
A picture of the enormous rodent went viral after being posted on social media alongside the caption: "afternoon everybody, this found on Grimsby Docks".
Some speculated it had been Photoshopped while others doubted it was taken in our town.
Well, according to Vice, the photo was originally published on their German sister site a week ago and the cat-sized vermin was actually on the loose in Duisburg.
Writing on the website, Joel Golby said: "Turns out the guy who posted this on Facebook claiming to have caught the rat in Grimsby is lying cos, as reported by our friends over at VICE Germany, it was actually caught in Duisburg last week."
