FAC First Blood

Tue Jun 23, 2015 7:26 pm

Finaly got out today after a year of not going (too busy with new house  ). Was testing the AA 510 FAC with different pellets, spent two hours shooting at 35 yrds and 55 yrds, then comparing the results. The 55 yrd targets where all over the place then I decided to turn the 510 down a tad. Found it was already on the lowest setting DOH !    . Turned it up to max and used AA Felds Heavy to set the scope, also had a play with my scope cam which I have knocked up for £19 utilising my Iphone, going to need a better cam app though. Will put a vdeo up when I have edited it on how I put it together.
Anyway the bottle was getting empty with all this faffing about, so I filled the 510 up and went for a walk up the field, saw loads of rabbits in the paddock but the horses were out :( . Managed three rabbits in the field though so first blood to the FAC :D :D

Their eyes looked Ok when I picked them up, no sign of Mixi, though saying that had a few a couple of years back with it. They had been travelling in my game bag for half an hour before I took the photo, so there is blood spread about a bit  .

the bunny on the left looks like its got a bulging eye and the top bunny looks like there is scarring around the eye lids.
