Original 75 Match Rifle

Tue Feb 14, 2017 12:37 pm

Hi,I have a 1980 Origial Model 75 which is in outstanding condition. It had been stored unused for 35 years and belonged to a friend who only put a few hundred pellets through it and then lost interest. I couldn't believe how good it was, but of course the seals were shot. Seals replaced, and it shoots beautifully. The gun is almost as new, and in fact some of the guys at my club thought it was new, it is the cleanest one I have ever seen compared to those I have seen on the Internet with bashed stocks, rust pitted actions and burred gear-wheel covers and end caps.
Just putting out a few feelers to see if there is any interest locally, they seem very popular in the States.

Nice totally recoilless springer. Uses opposing pistons to eliminate recoil. Very popular with older 10 metre shooters. Very heavy just inside ISSF limit. We have a club example. The brown seals that came with them usually disintegrated through age irrespective of usage around the milennium. New seals are usually blue. You could easily get 300 to 350 for it but it's a small market and Gun Star or similar will give it publicity. Also Shooting the Breeze, and Target Talk which has UK readers.

If you do end up selling it on here you must state a price and you must also fill out your location in your profile.

By the way too weak for FT. Well under 6 ft lbs.

Yes, at this stage I am just trying to gauge the level of interest there might be if I decide to let it go.

Check for local 10 metre target clubs either in your local online directory or in NSRA online Club finder then send pics to the club secretaries. Look out for arms fairs and take it along. It is a tiny market place.
If ONLY Ebay would pull its head out of its arris and let us sell on there it would be so much easier.

Yes, now that I have it sorted I am not using it much, had hoped to use it for 20 yd benchrest, it is very accurate, but not good enough for that. Fine for it's original purpose, 10m. standing, it shoots1/4" groups over a rest at that distance, but I am getting on and not fit enough for the standing stuff!.
