Mon Feb 13, 2017 5:56 pm

Hi

New to the forum so forgive me if this has already been asked.

Is there a side lever conversion kit for a S400 / S410?

Cheers JC

A&m custom did one for aTDR, but not sure if they still do it, and doubt it would be cheap or worth it, you might be better off selling your S400/410 and getting an S510. Rog

Out of interest is it the side lever cocking or the multi shot magazine that interests you?

Could you not just fit a S510sl block in place of the S410 bolt block.

Though looking at the diagrams of the parts you may be able to just fit the side lever and probe to your S410.
But not having compared the 2 this would need confirming.

It would be a pretty expensive road to go down, not impossible, but breech block alone is nealy £80 then you would need sidelever, probe and associated bit and pieces, I would exchange what you have for an S510, although I do rather like a project, good luck. Rog

You will find the 510 has the extra height block to allow for the shroud, so you will need another barrel band as well as the shroud.
This then gets too expensive and would be uneconomical

Thanks for that. This as me pondering how i could fit a side lever to my S410.

Would i be correct in assuming the S410sl only came in FAC power and as a S510 block also.
Seem to remember that it was a shrouded barrel also.

Interesting thread.
