Service on S400 2004

Thu Apr 21, 2016 1:01 pm

Hi recently sent my 2004 S400 to air arms to be serviced thinking that I was doing the right thing but not so sure now, the job was done well but on inspection my pre anti tamper S400 had an anti tamper screw fitted on the transfer port stopping any adjustments either up or down. After checking the internet it doesn't look as if it is a legal requirement to have this added. I wondered if anyone has any information on this before I take it up with air arms the shop who sent the gun to air arms doesn't want to know!! Also they changed the air cylinder on the gun as the deemed it to be old at 12 yrs ?

It would appear that it's standard practice for AA to refit anti tamper fittings when it's been sent back for service/work etc so your not alone mate.

i thought it was only common practice if it was fitted originally not if it was pre anti tamper :-(
