ProSport scoping options

Right now I've got a 6-24X56 scope on my .177 ProSport. It's been interesting to play with, but makes for a very heavy setup. This scope was purchased with the intention of putting it onto a rifle for use in Bench Rest shooting but that rifle is not yet in my stable so it got tossed onto the ProSport "out of idle curiosity". Surprisingly, even my foster daughter who is small of stature handled it fairly well in offhand shooting, but it's too top heavy for my taste. The scope I picked up for it is a UTG/Leapers 3-12X44 SWAT with etched glass reticle. This is more compact and lighter and fits in with my intention to use this rifle for Hunter Field Target. Scope choices are very restricted here due to the cost (importers tend to mark up scopes, rifles and ammo about 100% over US retail) and the fact that the national military establishment has put a crimp on all scopes since they are "of military use"...

Anyway, I'm curious as to what scopes you guys have mounted on your ProSports.

MTC Mamba Lite 3-12 x 44 with BKL mounts. Comes with side wheel parallax adjustment and flip-up lens covers.

Works perfectly on my 0.177 ProSport. However, I'm not sure if MTC still supply them.

I'm guessing that would be this one, correct? What does it weigh? Can't seem to find that in the specs.

I like the look of that reticle.

I would go for one of these if you can find one, either 3-12x44 or it's brother 4-16x44 i use them on springers, not sure of weight, I also use one on a benchrest rifle and get on fine with it, but as the Bosun says MTC don't supply anymore, but worth looking for, good all rounder as well if you do a bit of hunting. Rog. Just had a look weight is 19.38oz-550g

As Rog says, 19.4oz. The reticle is a bit like Marmite, some say it's over complex, but I love the SCB (small calibre ballistic) reticle, it ticks all the boxes for me. Plenty of aim points and small divisions between mildots below the horizontal line. If you can find a good one on the S/H market, give it a try. Better still, if you can find one to look at and spy through, maybe at a shooting club, then that would be even better. Good luck!
