is it possible to get piston slam against the compression tube? has anyone had any evidence of this, piston damage etc.
im not sure that you can, unless the transfer port has been opened up to such of an extent, or shortened. if all seals are good, transfer port of a suitable restriction, the air compressed in front of the piston in my mind should create a cushion, and act as an air brake. the air passing through the transfer port must be limmited to mach 1, the piston behind the pellet in front, so the air can not get out of the way.
Any thoughts?
Gary.
