HFT500 Silencer.

Does anyone have experience of replacing the air stripper on a HFT500 with a silencer, if so does it affect the rifles performance in any way and which silencer would you recommend?

I would say any moderator will reduce accuracy due to small exit hole and interior turbulence, but the better made ones will affect it less. Small exit hole has bigger venturi effect if mounted off centre.
Strippers are designed to divert turbulance away from the pellet.

I use a Weihrauch moderator on my HFT 500 sometimes, to avoid upsetting the neighbours. It works very well but it definitely changes the POI, presumably because it changes the barrel harmonics. In my particular case it drops the POI about 4 clicks down and 3 clicks left but I always re-zero before and after using it. In practice, I have never noticed any loss of accuracy up to 50 yards.

If you are using the Rowan adapter, you need a moderator with sloped shoulders, to clear the air cylinder, like the Weihrauch, rather than a flat end like a Shorty.
