TX200 Cocking Shoe

Thu Sep 28, 2017 1:59 pm

I suspect we in the colonies shoot a bit more than our brothers/sisters on the continent (more open space) and maybe we wear out parts faster becasue of that but, I have a question for the members that I feel you can answer.

The question deals with the cocking shoe on the TX200 (MKIII, et al).

Recently there has been discussion on other forums blaming POI shift and, extreme wear on breech seals, on the poor alignment of the cocking shoe.

Some shooters have replaced them with aftermarket shoes while others have placed shims under the shoe to make them more robust.

My question is this:

Have forum members had to deal with this problem and how did you deal with it?

I am just asking the question as I personally have not experienced any difficulties or POI shift with my MKIII and it has been shot well in excess of 15,000 times.
