Help on FTP 900 Trigger

The 2nd hand FTP900 I just purchased has had its trigger set up in a way I really don't like .. there is no second stage . The previous owner swears blind he did not adjust it, however as the 3 * M3 * 8 bolts holding the trigger cover down are pretty much "rounded" I think he is telling porkies :)

Referencing the FTP900 trigger diagram in the manual - grub screw 24.1 & 24.2 are pretty much flat with the top surface of Middle Sear Block (part # RN305-2), grub Screw 28 is wound out so Trigger Pivot Block (part # RN320) is close to resting on the main block (part number E760)

Any pointers as to a useful set up instruction to get a second stage would be much appreciated

Thanks

This is a wierd trigger! I reckon 24-1 and 24-2 are both wound in too far if as you say they are flush. The 24-2 is doing the damage, and letting off before 24-1 has a chance to give a second stage feel. Try winding out 24-2 a turn and see what happens. You may need to wind them both out a bit.

I can't find any sensible adjustment instructions. Even the simpler S400 trigger has only a few sensible instructions written.

(If anyone read my earlier post that I deleted, it was due to a complete misunderstanding of the mechanism!)

I looked through both those yesterday. Like I said there are no sensible instructions!
Its the same with the S400. Only Rowan and people on here provided them. AA really dont want us to know HOW, only where the screws are.
I like Carl but "There's a screw ere and there's a screw ere " doesnt really cut it.

I did in the end, someone posted a picture of their "out of the box" trigger and by counting the screw threads visible I was able to get an idea of the relative positions of them all and used that as a starting point, then by tweaking from that point I managed to get something that feels much better and has a second stage :)

thanks all for the help
