Shocking on a new gun mate. I wonder if they're fitting the trigger prior to milling another part?

Both of my TXs, bought two and a half years apart, had a lot of grease in the trigger units. No swarf though! Still, nothing that a quick strip, clean, polish and light lubing didn't fix nicely.

If you had kept the swarf (assuming it is metal swarf you mean) I would have sent it to Hailsham along with photos. They would know what machine it came off. Most of their stuff is CNC with mistic cooling and glass doors. I doubt that they bung open units on an old bench and file other bits over it! So how the heck did metal swarf get in? Assembly should be well away from machining areas.

I bought my MPR from Bedford Target Supplies shop. He checked it over before pickup and demonstrated that it cocked and fired and allowed me to inspect. Was this mail order or gunsmith bought?

Sorry to hear you've had problems. If you email Air Arms with serial number and the faults you found they will investigate.
Tinbum kit are great value and Nick has done a great job.
