Cz 200 basic questions

Sun Feb 19, 2017 8:28 am

Hello all, please forgive me for any repetition or seemingly daft questions! As I said in my "introduction" post, I currently live over I Poland and I'm just about to put in an order for a cz 200 colour. I have some questions I am hoping you can help me with so here we go in no particular order!

How do I remove the stock butt pad as I'm built like a chimp with hoofing long arms!
Would it be possible in the future to have the stock modified with a cheek riser?
Is it possible to fit a silencer that doesn't have to be removed each time to fill the cylinder?
Are the unf silencer adaptors any good or should I stick with a slip on silencer?

I'm sure I will have more, but any help is more-than-gratefully received!

OK - I know it's not laminate but why not get the Green, cheek riser and adjustable butt pad included already.

Install a quick fill so no more need to take the cylinder out every time for filling.
You may check my tuning report - though in German a lot of pictures - hopefully helpful.

Can't comment on silencer as illegal here in Austria.

Thanks pelletcaster. I did consider the green but I must admit that I have kinda fallen in love with the laminate stock! I'm fairly confident carrying out work on it as I was a qualified small arms maintainer during my time in the Royal Navy. With the butt plate I'm just trying to confirm it can be removed via screw rather than hacking it off and then sanding down to the laminate? ?

Hi,

most probably the butt pad at the laminated stock is just screwed on too as on all the other models.

Not a huge problem to someone with a sharp chisel.

remove any screws first, then wrap the stock in a plastic bag, dip into hot water JUST deep enough to immerse the pad, for a while, this should help to soften most adhesives & for god`s sake don`t even think about using a chisel, a scraper & repeated heating should do the trick. if it doesn`t, post on here & I`ll give you an alternative method.

The standard butt is mounted with 2x screws. The adhesive is minimal and the rubber pad can usually be peeled off. Replacement adjustable item – alloy plates with rubber pad – is good but will require filing down for good aesthetics, plus new holes will need to be drilled and countersunk if you want to reuse the original stock's screw holes. If the barrel isn't threaded for silencer then I recommend a Guntuff screw-on adaptor (15mm version for Mk3 S200, if I remember correctly) used with a Weirauch silencer. If the refill is the new T-bar type then the screw on valve cover can be removed with gentle persuasion. I actually removed three to 4mm from the threaded open end for extra clearance.
I'll be extremely jealous of your laminate stock.
