I'll be honest,as the thought of fitting sling studs brings me out in a cold sweat, I feel I should leave the chisels safely locked away!

Haha ... You are right. Not sure we have many members in Poland. But from what we have seen, the Polish are extremely handy folk and I'm sure you will find a friendly person willing to help if you are not confident doing it yourself. Else, there are a few good vids. on Youtube that show you how to do it. Get s few pieces of scrap wood. Have a couple of trial gos and then do it yourself :)
