Hi all, my guns bolt has gone all floppy and come loose, I have taken it off and tried to reset it, but now the grub screw won't go all the way home, hence it not being tight, any ideas please

Hi, the only screw I can see is the one straight behind, was told online to use a loctight product, but does not seem right

If you mean the cap head screw that holds the bolt handle onto the bolt and screws into the end of the bolt, I just repaired one belonging to a friend by loctiting it back on last week.
The screw hole in the bolt handle was so tight it actually had a partial thread cut in it which is wrong. It stopped the screw from tightening properly. Could have been old loctite which was all over the screw but not on the bolt. Factory error in my opinion.
Cock the rifle.
Take the handle off and in your hand turn the screw til the false "thread" strips. Before screwing the handle back onto the bolt, clean nside the handle and the end of the bolt with acetone. Then put a drop of loctite inside the handle bore where the bolt sits. Fit the handle without pushing the bolt forward. Wipe the rest of the bolt and make sure the bolt then has lots of moly grease on in case any Loctite leaks out into the bolt housing and locks it up!. Adjust the position so there is about 8mm gap between the handle knob and the stock when locked down. Check for correct operation before letting the loctite set.

If its not that screw, ignore all of the above!
