Hi,

JSB Heavies (Daystate Heavies also I believe) at 10.3 grains are a good pellet to set power levels with. I would set it to 715 fps maximum (11.65 ft.lbs) to give a bit of legal clearance and you will be ok with Diablos which should be around 11.2-11.3 ft.lbs. If you are using Bisley Magnums then I would set to 11.5 ft.lbs (700 fps or a shade under) You may want to look at this thread viewtopic.php?f=15&t=2942 for a bit of light reading also :D You should get around 65 shots in a 11 fps sweet spot (1.5% of max velocity) dependant on pellet.

Don't think anti-tamper was around in 2006 (not with two of mine anyway) so DIY servicing is pretty straightforward.

Thank you mark for explaining and your surgestions this as realy helped me alot I had already sent for the heavy bisly 's pellets before I saw your post so I will try those first and stick to what you have shared with me.
I read the post you wrote and found it very informative it explains it all I thought this bit was realy great

The SWEET SPOT

Having got the gist of the full power curve the 'sweet spot' is just the best bit of the full power curve i.e. the bit of the curve that the rifle is performing at it's most consistent. It's also in most cases the point at which the rifle is producing the most power.

As an aside if you have the capability/skill/chronograph you will need to know the cylinder pressure at the peak of the curve (in the above graph from about 130 to 120 bar) if you need to make any power adjustments. Don't set it at 190 bar to 11.8 ft.lbs as it will be over power at 130 bar!

Wonderfull report thank you and every one else for supplying dam good answers to all my question what a marvellous forum we have
