410 shooting low

Thu Sep 08, 2016 5:06 pm

Not had much chance to shoot my 410 but got it out this afternoon. .177 using sportsmatch mounts and nikko sterling nighteater 10 to 50x 60 scope. At 35 yards it is shooting 2 to 3 inches low and I have no adjustment left on elevation on the scope. Any one have any idea why this could be?

Have to say that's a big old scope for 410, you could try shimming the rear mount, but go easy not to much pressure, you wouldn't want to wreck the scope. Or you could try swapping mounts round. Rog

Is the power level ok with it? Was it ok last time you used it or is this a newly mounted scope.
