Some of the newer bottles have a safety valve that stops you putting in a good blast

Mines 4 years old but doesn't have the restrictor screw to choose between fast/slow fill. Once done I just won't let it drop down now I have changed all the seals.

Managed to replace the valve, takes air but just cant get past the 9ftlbs mark. Pot tried in/out but wont budge. Starting to regret getting the gun. Will give it to Darrin to sort before I throw it in the cut.

Take it you mean S370 firing valve, have you adjusted the power adjuster RN191 in the S507 Firing valve body, not trying to be rude, just want clarification. Roger

Yes, firing valve. It developed a ring on the valve face where it seals against the valve body. The valve body still has the AT blank in place so I am having to strip & refill each time I try a different pot position. Managed 10.2 at most. These issues are putting me off the gun quite quickly and probably be my last daliance with Air Arms if this is the state of components on a £900 rifle.

You need to drill the anti tamper out of firing valve body, don't drill all the way in just enough to tap a small Allan key into it to undo it, once out there is small Allan screw at bottom of hole, this is the power adjuster, set the pot as I said before 57mm, and you should be fine, don't give up they are great rifles. Cheers Rog. I have ordered an AT free valve body but I'm not sure the adjustment will get me anywhere near 11,5 which is where I want it. As I was emptying the rifle the transfer port washer blew through the barrel!!

I recall this happening on a S400 I had a few years ago. My issue is that even when it's fixed the issues are likely to re-occur at some point which isn't fulfilling me with confidence when travelling around the country doing competitions.
