AA S410F loose barrel?

Fri Aug 21, 2015 2:54 pm

Just checking in to see any other guys have experienced this. I have owned the 410 for a few months now but had little opportunity to set it up. Today with my AA410 fitted with a Hawke 6-24x50 pa scope I decided to set it up at long last. I could not get move the impact point to the right as far as needed before I run out of adjustment. I thought either my scope, not likely, or my mounts were faulty. As I was packing it away I grasped the barrel and cylinder and the barrel moved. When I checked the figure 8 securing bracket screws were not tight allowing the barrel to move in relation to the centre line of the rifle. I have tightened the allen screws up and all seems fine except I will have to, at a later date, realign the barrel and make sure it doesnt happen again. Is this something others have experienced?
Thanks

its a common problem...loosen the grub screws let the barrel find its own centre and then retighten the grub screws and rezero

Most likely occurs when you charge the gun. Unsrewing or screwing up the charge point cover. Try not to overtighten this. I undo the grub screws and retighten after every fill, where possible. Is sounds a faff on but i think its worth the effort.
