open sights refers to the second pic I put up and that is a .22 r/f not my TX200

tbh mate. I didn't think groups like that could be shot with open sights at 50m. well played.

when I first started shooting back in the 70's we used falling plates 12" x 12" at 100 meter's and I would drop one every shot with an SLR (the 7.62 x 51 round would go straight through it so they didn't last long)
Some times it it good to back to basics just to appreciate what a scope can do for you. I'm not sure where the pic is at the moment but I have one of a target at 100 meters where I used a 260 rem recently with a scope, 10 shots could be covered by a 2p, I hadn't sighted it in so I aimed at the bull no corrections and just put a grouping together

very creditable shooting.

It is good to go back to basics periodically.

great shooting, nice groups
